CLAW

Claw was absolutely amazing. I went with my Sir and our friend Carlos where we stayed in the Hilton Garden, which is where CLAW will be held next year. We arrived at our hotel at about 1am Thursday night/Friday morning.

Friday: All three of us had volunteer shifts for the silent auction from 10am to 3pm. At CLAW, if you volunteer at least 5 hours during the whole weekend, you don't pay registration. So that was really fun. However, I was told I could leave early as more volunteers came in and I was asked as a title holder to attend a meeting for the Vendor Showcase and Live Jock Auction that night. So I wandered the market a little and then went up to the meeting where it was about 15 to 20 title holders awaiting their vendor assignments, where I got to meet some amazing people like Matt Bamford, Mr Mid-Atlantic Leather 2010. I was assigned to Square Peg Toys (http://squarepegtoys.com/) to wear one of the new puppy tails. As this was an insertable, I got to keep this toy. *wags* This pup needed a new tail anyway. But after the meeting, I went to hang out with Sir, Christiana (Ms. Great Lakes Olympus), and Sir Johnny (Christiana's Sir) for a little bit before they went off to dinner. I had a rehearsal for the vendor showcase at 5 where food was also served and then I had to go pretty much directly to the room to change into the gear I was wearing for the Vendor Showcase, which included my bulldog harness, the jock that was being auctioned off, leather collar, leash, pup mitts, kneepads, and puma shoes. I got to be a Pup on stage and played with by 5 other title holders who were showing off various other gear. After that and some other entertainment including an amazing comedian, we had the Live Jock Auction. I kept my tail in for that as well so I went for a decent amount of money pretty quickly. After that, a few porn stars put on an interesting show up on stage. After this show, Sir and I rode trolley back to the hotel where I finally got to remove my tail after 6 hours of use. Slept pretty well that night.

Saturday: Sir and I went to a diner for breakfast that was donating a percentage of its profits that weekend to CLAW. I then went and massaged a friend at the event because he really needed it. Afterward, we wandered the market, I got my boots and title sash bootblacked, and just generally hunt out with people. We ended up going to this amazing restaurant where it was a couple different restaurants from Bloomington smushed together and put in Cleveland. They stole it from us. ;) It was is you took Lenny's and Laughing Planet and squished them together. The only thing missing were stoners behind the counter. But the food was AMAZING! After that, Sir, Christiana, and I attended a cocktail hour before the Leather Family Dinner, where I was captaining a table. Saw a lot of title holders in pretty leather formals, I actually forgot my leather shirt and tie so I felt under dressed. Oh well. It was still a lot of fun. The dinner was very good. I got filet mignon with risotto and green bean spears. At the dinner, various people were given awards for volunteering and sponsoring. Post dinner, Sir, Christiana, Sir Johnny, and I went to the Red Door Party, a pansexual play party off site at a dungeon owned by a professional dominatrix. She has lots of amazing gear and there was no way I was going to be able to try it all in one visit. Sir gave me a good flogging and then put me in a cage with a head hold where he then toyed with me while I was blindfolded. Also at the play party, there was a demonstration of fire cupping on a few people and then cell popping (temporary branding).

Sunday: Again there was breakfast at the diner after packing up our room and loading the car. We wandered the market for a little while longer, picking up a few things on clearance and a present for our boyfriend, said our goodbyes, and then started our journey home.

All together an amazing weekend. I cannot wait to go next year and take our boyfriend, S (both if J is in town), with us. It is about the same feeling of IML but on more of a scale of GLLA. Great fun all around.
